MTs vs HD3s

In the next few months im gonna b purchasing either 2 15" RE MTs or 2 15" HD3s....they will b run off 2 Orion 2500Ds, and im lookin for a system tht is a DD but leaning towards SPL....not really worried much about SQ jus lookin to get loud, hopefully a 150 dash score....

Let me know wht u guys think...

BTL'S and if you can find the orions if not pick up 2 zx2500.1's better amps to begin with.

either sub you go with get some better amps. Those orions are good amps dont get me wrong but you won't be getting all you can outta the subs.

x2!!! Those orions have always been good amps. Nothing wrong with them at all...

Well whtevr subs i get im gonna b using either 2 Orion 2500D or 2 similar amps for 700....i can get the Orions for 700 shipped for a pair so i really cant beat tht....

These subs are gonna b in a street setup w/ the occasional comp/metering session...

I agree. my mt did not do 2 shit hot for street but like the burps.

HD3s are good but if you want pure SPL go MTs the HD3s sound good though. If you get the MTs you have alot of room to grow if you ever want to slap mass amounts of power on it.

MTs all the way. i have 2 15s in my daily driver, in my trunk at that. i did 150.2 on music and that was with 4 1606ds. ive never dealt with/heard hd3s but MTs are more one note wonder pretty much but my box is 12.12cuft @ 30 hz. my car peaks at 39hz. i cant complain. i love the 30-40hz scale.

again MT's are louder in WALL applications not much but louder , hd is louder for street applications/spl.
