Ok heres the deal. I think im going to give an 18" MT a try. But, i have a few quick questions before i call RE on monday.

First off, does a Dual .7 VC setup sound good for an orion 2500? Go 1.4 daily and be able to burp at .35.

Secondly, what are the advantages/disadvantages of soft vs. stiff spiders? Not familiar with that.

Third, what other options do i have with this driver as far as ordering.

For an orion 2500d, I would simply get dual 1.4ohm (which are dual 2ohm nominal) coils.

Also, as far as spiders... it hase been proven that the loudest combination is quad stiff spiders. If you want, you could go with only three, to make them a little less stiff....
