What and how many amps did they use to get 10K+ Watts to a sub?

I'm guessing its either a Dual, Quad or more voice coiled sub

solo X won't.. cone issue.. breaks nearly every burp, with just 4 kx1200.1's..

however, there's quite a few woofers that will... for a burp at least..

with the voltage setup terry had.. I'd figure 12kw or so per woofer..

with stable voltage.. those crowns will do much more though..

shame we didn't have any tune time with the vehicle.. oh well

Oh and theres one more...but shh noone knows! Oh and its not the shocker sig I'm talking about. The coil on this thing sticks up bout 1 inch or so past where the top plate ends.

And no, it doesn't REALLY look like an XXX. Totally different motor (don't know if the XBL2 can take as much power as what the MT can), and doesn't have the inverted cone. It just looks..horrendously repulsively loud.

Yea totally diff. Looks overhung (I think?). Ok you wanna know loud? I had my ears plugged body in a fetal position holding the mic and we would burp around 48hz and my body wouldn't just shake,it moved in the seat, like a 1/2 inch to inch of movement. It sounded like a deep fart.

I'd like to see a pic of thisMT, anyone got one??? A Pic that is?

yes.. they are.. 4 of them

no.. he didn't.. amps went in the week before drag finals, had no tweek and tune time... nor enough current for them..

at NSPL world finals this year...i saw an astro van w/ 2 18's walled off...and 81,000 watts. Yeah, it was painted on the rear amp rack...81,000 watts, or 40,500 per woofer. TOTALLY crazy. peace

@ 14.6 Volts you'd need about 5547 amps to make that

@ 12 Volts you'd need about 6750 amps to make that

Whenever I posted that I should have put something that could handle that power for a little longer than a burp...Hell brahma's have been burped with 32,000.....Thanks for the info though...

totally full of shit too.. whoever owned the vehicle..

100% impossible to put that much power on 2 woofers...

quad coil, 8 amps per woofer, since I'm sure they were stappable amps.... 16 amps total....

that would require 5kw from each amp..
