Hey guys new to the site and don't have a ton of experience with amps. I just bought a Alpine 4 channel amp rated at 50 watts per channel 4 ohm, and on my birth sheet it says it produces 95 watts per channel 2 ohm. How many watts 4 ohm does that come out to? Thanks for the help.

Well it's probably rated at a normal 75 x 4 @ 2 ohms. If the 2 ohm is 20 watts a channel underrated than the 4 ohm is probably around 10-12 underrated. I'm gonna guess it's about 62-65 x 4 @ 4 ohms. The only way to be accurate is get it bench tested. Not really worth it imo.

Ok thats sounds good to me lol. I didn't figure you up it 20 watts for both but had no clue. I just don't want to over do my SPS-510 fronts to much. They are rated for up to 55 watts rms so that should be a pretty good match up right?

Yep, its perfectly fine. Usually you want about 10-25% more power than your speakers can handle for extra "headroom". This makes it so you are not stressing out your amp, even when you have your volume cranked. Most people don't realize your THD % goes up dramatically near the point of clipping.
