MPG for the win??

you do know the si is considered the performance car of honda and you wont be getting great mpgs. also im not sure but the k20 might have a high compression meaning you will have to use 92+ octane gas.

my sister has an 06 civic ex and it still isnt really all that great on gas IMO. i drive it 2 days out of the week just for fun and its really not any better. maybe thats just me driving but its my observation and opinion

Shit I think the interior is slick in the Civic. That 2 tier guages is cool as hell. I wish I had the money to get one. Also the speed and looks kill your current ride. I would take the Si over a lot of older cars or hell even newer ones. So you make better with gas, looks, speed. Why is the decision so hard? Is it the price of the Si?

a friend of mine is in the same predicament, he is thinking about trading in his '06 f-150 for a civic si or something, gas prices are becoming a major factor in vehicle purchases these days. Glad I drive a 4 cylinder. Would love to have the power of a v8 but am content with a 4, $30 full tank>$50+

obviously u havent seen the dif in interior between a civic and a diamante

yeah all these people saying MPG doesn't matter.. don't drive that much..

I'm if you are driving 140+ miles a day.. 5 days a week..it would matter...

To me its like.. i would rather have money for car audio.. coffee.. eating out.. CD's... movies.. you know money to waste.. instead of driving a gas guzzler..

If i only drove 20-30 miles a day it wouldn't matter.. but shit.. for what i drive it makes a huge diff..

If you are driving 2500 a month.. thats a lot

If you take 100,000 miles divide by 30 mpg = 3333.3 gallons of gas.. @ $3 a gallon (might be a lot more soon) that would be $10,000 worth of gas over the 100,000 miles..

If you take 100,000 miles divide by 40mpg = 2500 gallons of gas.. @ $3 a gallon = $7500

@ 2500 miles a month, it will take you 3.33 years to reach 100k.. if you divide $2500 over 3.33 years it would cost about $63 a month more to drive a car with 30mpg VS one with 40mpg..

Im sure your car doesnt get 30mpg and a SI doesnt get 40.. but its a dif between 10mpg..

10mpg isnt really that much dif.. if you like your car i would keep it.. if you had like a truck that got 8mpg it would make a huge dif..

I would be much more worried about the slipping ******.. that shit would get traded off QUICK if it was me.

What u say about the ****** really clicks with me considering the ****** in the diamante is 3 g's, i really want a new car but how do i get my car past the test drive if my ****** slips
