midi is not audio, midi is a signal that triggers sound modules from external devices.

you are probably referring to the polyphonic ringtone sounding thing they call midi, and about that I have no clue.

...unless you have some sophisticated program that would analyze an audio signal, automatically separate each instrument to its own track & perfectly match a sound wave signal with an instrument...by matching timbre for any range of sound pressure...and also by reconstructing the dry track if it was wet with DSPs & effects.

...probably some research stuff at some university somewhere going on, but AFAIK...impossible.
