Does LA really pay more in unemployment than the average wages the employee earned while working? I don't think so, but I will let you educate us.

TN does thanks to the stimulus funds. My friend's GF makes about $50 more per week on unemployment vs. base salary at her old job. She did work plenty of OT to make up for it.

But in many cases, the money made on unemployment does not encourage people to find work. Especially if that person lost a low paying job. I, for instance, wouldn't make enough money to remain on unemployment very long.
