Moving Air?

Now I have been in a few different setups and what I really enjoy is when there is just alot of air moving. One of my friends has 2 W3's but there is not really any air moving. My favorite setup was 2 JL W7's and there was just lots of air movement. Also 2 P3's were pretty good. I plan on ordering one HDC3 10 inch VERY soon and I was wondering if that would move air? This might be a stupid question but oh well! Thanks.

No, you need displacement. There are a few ways to acheive this, you only acknowledge one of which.

yeh u dont really need alot of cone area. altho it helps. from my experience once u get in the upper 140s is when u start to feel the air moving. but i wouldnt expect too much air moving with 1 10 even with 3kw. i know my 1 15 and 3kw moved a good bit tho. then again if u think those setups you posted moved air then then you might be impressed with an hdc310a and 2kw or so.

I also find that the effect is more pronounced at the lowest frequencies, those lower than 30hz or so. The best stuff is at 18hz to 24hz IMO.

yeh lower freqs move more air but your usually not gonna have much output that low unless its like a bandpass. usually in like the upper 30s or so would do good.

I only have room for a 10 or barely a 12 in my trunk so there are is a space budget though I would love a 15 inch hdc3.
