mounting vertical

ok, i want to place my headunit in my glove compartment, which would require it mounted facing up, ie vertical. i do not use cd's only an ipod through aux. headunit is pioneer p4000ub. would this be a problem?

Only the CD is sometimes affected by mounting the radio in a straight vertical

Other issue would be heat build up
