Mounting RE8

I'm getting ready to mount a pair of RE8's into a box I made...

They will be surface mount...

Do I need to lay a thin bead of silicone to "seal" between the frame and the box???

Or is just screwing them down good enuf???

dont put silicone unless u are sure u wont be takin them out or reselling them, it will be very hard to get completely off.

if ur worried about a good seal, ill give u a trick i can up with. take some black electrical tape and tape around the ring of the opening then mount the subs, it worked awesome for my older subs

double sided insulation tape (i.e. for windows) works pretty good.

Or a thin line of oven-hardening modelling clay.

Thanx guys...GOOD ideas...

I think I'm gonna do the double side insulaton tape...slightly stick on both sides...I can still get the subs off...but should seal real good...
