mounting question

yep
Im going to be building a box for a 15" soon, and the max height I can fit in my trunk is about 17", which the leaves the baffle at 15.5. The mounting diameter is 14" and the outside is 15.5". Will this be okay? I will double baffle it to with 3/4".

I was thinking of flush mounting it too, but with that take away the point of double baffling in this case?

Thanks

most cars only have a trunk height of 16"-17" anyways. you will be fine. i have my 15" brahma like that...only 16" tall. make the front of the box 16" tall and not 14.5"....this will give you a little more strength. the hole's edges will almost be even with the inner box's top and bottom.

Oh yea, I kind of forgot about that. Sounds good. Thanks. I cant wait. Now if it would stop snowing I can build the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I had the same issue with a 15 1/2" tall box. I did little cut outs top/bottom instead of leaving a sliver of wood. Box has a triple baffle....
