Ok screws made it to hard to mount a 1/2" ring to my door so just forget that.. some people recommend adhesives.. I have liquid nails and other stuff in my shed but I'd like to get a recommendation on an adhesive that won't permanently bond the ring to the door..

Yes, you can get it off but clean up will take a little while. It's thick stuff. Actually, thinking about it, on a flat surface clean up should not be bad at all. Just use a razor blade. The places we use it on the skis are curved and have little valleys and hard to get to places.

you can use contact cement, but it would take a bit of effort to remove the glue after wards. Some accetone should work, but may fade the panels a little depending on the material. You can however also use a double sided tape, if you can accept a small gap between the ring, and the panel. Works well, the type that adheres side panels on car exteriors.

jus drill some holes in the md and there should already b some holes in the door (least in my car there was) then jus run a bolt through and throw a nut on the end should hold it in place nicely

i like to use the ones with the rubber on the inside of the nut so that it jus holds it a bit better (Nylon Lock Nuts)

this is wat im talkin about
