Friend is over with me and we are buying a few items to start his system with. He is dead set on running 4 silver flute 6.5's 2 per front door then wired in parallel to get a 2ohm load. Amp is a MB Quart Q4.150. Rated to do 220watts per channel at 2ohm so each pair will have a good 160-180watts rms to work with and will be crossed around 60-70 Hz. The other 2 channels we plan on running 4 SEAS Prestige 27TAFNC/G (H1397) 1" Aluminum Dome Tweeter: Madisound Speaker Store 2 per front door wired in parallel for a 2ohm load so each set will share 160-180 watts rms crossed around 3k. I think it’s a good start I know the silvers will deliver and I have seen the seas being used at local comps and after a good bit of research we are going to go with 4 of them. The problem we are having is finding any kind of mounting hardware for them. He does not want to flush mount so that makes things easier but I have searched and searched and there is no answer out there for this question/concern.

Also, if there are some real exp guys on that could pm me I need to ask a question. Its a somewhat tech yet stupid question but I have zero experience on the matter so I dnt wanna tell my friend the wrong thing and end up screwing everything up. Yep, thats right I will admit that I do not know everything about car audio. Its related to sq and tweets FYI so that is the type of person I am in need of a lil help from..

Seas does not provide mounting hardware for this tweeter. It can be mounted by press fit, mounting from behind or using a modified mounting cup. The back of the tweeter is threaded for an M4 bolt for fastening from behind. LPG tweeter mounts will also work with slight modification. You will have to drill a couple holes through the back of the plastic mount for proper fit. Use an adhesive to glue the tweeter into the mount. The Vifa tweeter mounts will not work for this tweeter

we did not even look at the bottom of the page. Thx... We just spent $567.19 on his first ever front stage. That price does not include power wire or fuse holder or batts as he is getting all that from me. I hope it sounds good.. One thing is for sure its going to be very loud. Now he has to save up for a substage and then sit back and enjoy.
