It is the top plate, I was going to redrill and tap it to fit a new basket. The motor just fell off it was glued to the top plate. That is why this is no longer a working sub.

No damage was done to the motor, it only dropped about 2", it was in my truck when it fell off. Still to this daytime know why it came loose.
