Well Yes And No... Before I die hard stereo, Is was madd *****-ish into cell phone ... ahhh... stuff for lack of an illegal word. Unlocked does mean, you can use with 'any' provider... Moreover, if your company uses SIM cards, such as Rogers, Cingular, you can't use Bell phones. if your phone doesn't support SIM cards, you can't use rogers, or cingular.
There are also different types of locks. Hard lock, which means your phone is fubar, usually happens with a few un successfull unlock attempts. Then it's time to flash your phone, or sell it on
ebay lol.
GSM is a type of network, used world wide. I beleive it's just the frequancy the phones operate at, and the way they recieve signal. most GSM phones also have GPRS or GRSP... I forget... but it's operating at a radio signal... neato huh...
