Actually it depends on what type of TV too....I think plasma TV's arent affected at all

makes me not want to buy tcs magnetizer. obviously it doesn't work LOL. that is weird how it lost its charge....maybe they didn't bake it long enough or the dude you got it from heated the motor up with some extreme....for some odd reason.....

Because I was the first owner. Traded for a Fi. Didn't like it, my sub came back up for sale. Baught it back. Would thier have been something Fed-ex might have sent it through that would have demagnatized it?

I say there is something really fishy going on here about that driver.

You can demagnetize ferrite if you bang it around enough. It could have been dropped too much when being shipped. All a magnetizer does is realign the molecules to all face the correct direction. If it is thrown around or dropped too much, it would random out the alignment of the molecules in the ferrite. I would blame Fedex before TC unless it came straight from the factory demagnetized.

It doesn't happen often but it does happen. I have "banged" smaller magnets to where they lose their pull but I've never seen it done with a big subwoofer motor.

You sure you got the same woofer back? I have never heard of a subwoofer motor becoming demagnetized by accident.

I find it impossible to believe FedEx banged magnets of that size around enough to actually demag them.
