Motor City Reman alts

anyone ever by a HO alt from here? it's the only place that i can find an alternator for a 2003 ford taurus. i checked feedback, only on negative left.

anythoughts?

I'm not sure about that place. I've bought ho alternators (180 and 200 amp) off of ebay from username = alterstart . He makes ho alternators and starters. If he doesn't have the alternator for your taurus, shoot him an email, and he'll get it for you. Prices are good too. Never had a problem with either of his alternators. give it a shot.

Do a search for them here. I've posted many results and thoughts about them before.

Lemme just give you a little preview though.. Anything that says REMAN in the title probably wont be as good as NEW.

****. where else am i going to find a taurus alternator? Excessive amperage wanted $675 for one. that's insane, i refuse to pay that much. anyone know anwyere else?

yup found that out the hard way. now i'm saving for a GOOD alt

I think the one i ordered has a 2 yr warranty so I'll just keep my old alt and if the new one messes up I'll send the motor city reman one right back to them!

I've used remanufactured AC/Delco for years and they work OK.

As long as this place uses good parts in the reman hopefully it will be fine.

We'll see......

I don't normally go the cheaper route at all but since I didn't do enough research before I got it from them now I'm stuck....

I just hope it last through the hot TX summer! It sux changing your alt out in a parking lot in 100 deg. heat! been there/done that!
