Most power for under $1k

4 Minotaur's would be around 6k...
That's my goal eventually //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Got big pro audio with 4ohm coils.. 2.5k at 4ohms is about perfect, especially with only 200 amps of current draw for the group, give or take a bit. I think even new the efficiency and higher ohm loads save you in electrical upgrades vs going Korean or Brazilian (and repair costs on the Brazilians lmao)
edit: Just saw 10k? How is it 10k. Each amp is good for around 1.3, so that's 2.6k for 2 at a 4ohm load.. Can you really double it all again from 5.2k to 10.4k if you run 4?
Found what I was looking for. You'd need a 4-coil sub lol:

The 10.4kW number doesn't make any sense to me; each amp puts out 1,300W
The mistake was mine. Since he didn't elaborate past the discussion on pairs, it confused me. Think of using a pair of Minotaur per coil on that sub and it'll make sense. 2.6k per pair will net you the 10.4k for all four coils.

Gotcha... I'll pass on spending $4k on sub amps lol

Right. Because you'd rather spend it on electrical? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I kid, I kid. On a serious note, I'll be adding a Minotaur to the one I have now for the next vehicle's build and going for 2k@4ohms. On stock electrical and about 20A total current draw for the sub stage lmao

Somewhat true. Assuming 60 amps or so of draw from each amp when pushing them faily hard you could about run 4 of them off of a single run of 0 gauge. Pretty impressive all things considered, 300 amp alt would fully power a 7k setup as well. Batteries and wiring and dual alts/brackets add up pretty quickly.
