Monster HDMI cables

Lately Ive been trying to finish up my home theatre set up. Right now I'm slowly buying furniture and then looking into cables. Right now I'm using philipps HDMI cable between my reciever, cable box, ps3 and tv. So my question is if I upgrade to monster, or just a higher end cable will this be a difference?

If I were you, I'd go to radioshack and buy some monster cables. Try them out and you decide whether they are worth the extra 60-100 bucks. If not, just return them.

They say generic hdmi cables perform equally to high-end hdmi cables but I've never tested it.

There is no difference between a $130 monster cable I am using on my PS3 and a $10 rosewill cable I got off newegg so don't even waste the money unless you just want to be able to say you have Monster. This is also on a Samsung 40" LCD

I have to agree, as I purchased the $120 Monster Cables when I first purchased my TV three years ago. I have since purchased more cables for about $25 that I cannot tell the difference between them and the overpriced Monster Cables.

Not true to the average consumer vision
there was a test done at a store, they swapped in coat hanger with the ends soldered on, they told so called experts that they swapped in monster cables and they raved about how much better the picture was so obviously they cant tell either

We did similar tests while I was working at Circuit City, and I definitely couldn't tell the difference between the expensive cables and the cheap ones.

I would never buy anything from Monster. They're a company with horrible business, not to mention legal, practices and everyone really needs to know what they are all about.

Monster cables are a gimmick, my bro worked with Circuit City corporate before they went under and they came up and made a presentation, and its really no difference. They make over a 1000% profit on their wiring that they sell retail. SAVE you money and visit this website http://www.monoprice.com/products/department.asp?c_id=102
