I have a 2005 Santa fe with a monsoon 6 cd changer. After playing a cd that I burned from itoons, the changer started to go crazy (skipping from track to track and cd to cd) and then would not play any of the cds. The radio works fine. Did the cd I burned have some type of code that affected the changer?

I know that CDs have information on them that is used by the player's system to determine how to shuffle music selections. I am wondering if this information may have screwed up the shuffling process. When it first started to fail, it would play a portion of a track then skip to another. The problem gradually got worse until it would not play anything.

I doubt it's the CD.

My parents Toyota Sienna had a 6 cd changer that started to go bad - had some of the same problems. Display started screwing up, etc. Might want to take it in for warranty, if you have it.

A CD won't screw up a player. The worst is the CD won't play. It can't change any software in it.
