mono amp question

Sounds like my sundown -- in which case you use those if you are going to strap.
Ok now what is ment by strapped ??? because i want to pre order 2 1200D so what is it?

I thought it was if you had 2 4 ohm speakers and each was wired down to 2 ohm. And connecting both wired like that would make the amp see 1 ohm.
Ok if this is true, then i am going to be purchasing 2 DVC 15" Fi Q's....so this means that i could run them @ a 1 ohm load?? and not a 2 ohm or .5?(2 ohm would not be enough power from the amps and .5 might not be doable)

could, but it would make no difference.. You could bridge it then use the left most positive, and the right most negative (or vis-versa)... Or you could just use both sides and still the amp would see the same load. Just to make it easier.

It's just two terminals to provide for multiple speaker leads. They are parallel to each other. If you connect 2 ohms on both terminals the amp sees 1 ohm, 4 ohms each and the amp sees 2.

There aren't that many mono amps that are "internally bridged".

There are a FEW generally HUGE (3000w+ rms) amps that are actually two smaller amps strapped and housed in the same chassis, but for the most part a mono amp is just a mono amp. Many have mono inputs, and the ones that have stereo inputs combine it into a mono signal immediately after entering the amp...mono signal in, mono signal out, no bridging, internally or externally.
