How safe is it to send a money order for something off of ebay...the guy says thats all he accepts but ive never done it before and dont wanna get gipped

Depends what kind of mo. But its not to safe he could easily walk away with your money. I only send them with people i really trust.

send it certified mail so you could get him on mail fraud if he rips you off

Care to provide a link to the auction listing you are considering? Being able to do a bit of research on your prospective seller would do worlds of good in making a decision on whether or not it is worth the inherent risk...

There's little protection in money orders, other than being able to prove that the person received it and cashed it.

paypal really doesn't offer much help so if you think he is shady at all i wouldn't go through with it

Can you do a C.O.D.?

I usually send a Certified Bank Check over a money order..

Easier to track and file claims, lawsuits if something goes wrong..

when buying online you aren't 100% protected. there is always risk involved

I dont really look to get screwed, ever. especially out of 175+ I guess ill just see what he says and go from there
