Mojos are smoked! (pic), will i be happy with HDC3's??

Well, the logic i that you're supposed to analyize WHY your setup went to poop and go from there. It just sounds like you bought some subs as replacement hoping that will fix your issue. It might, who knows. But after myself having 29389238 different spl setups over the years, I usually like to know wtf happened and work on that problem first before forking out more cash on a fix.

I dunno about 32 hz, even though I was in your same position about four weeks ago. I tuned mine to about 36 hz and they hit the lows amazingly well. However I wanna get a little more SQ out of them, so I might make a new box and experiment until I get it to the point I'm satisfied. But great subs and you will be happy.

it's been done but it was ran under the car and in the dash up to the defrost vent.

HDC's are awesome subs especially for the money,
Get the Nighthshades if your wanting to go one step better!

I havent seen anyone showing the nightshades can play louder off music yet.. I have my doubts about it playing louder with less power, but anything can happen I suppose..

Thank you!!!That is what I have been saying all along.There is a reason this happened.Like Snoop said those subs are on the same level as the HDC3's.With crispy coils and the rubbing that was in the picture it appears to be clipping going on.That is why I asked if you set your gains.Not just turn them to where you THINK they should be.

Before you install the new AQ's please set your gains to the proper levels with a DMM

Will do. problem is when i received the amp the gain setting writing was rubbed off during shipping. so i set my gains low. the rubbing is from mounting the motor on and it was rubbing cause it was off slightly. i fixed that but then the damage was already done. coils are browned cause im pushin 2k rms and played at full tilt all the time and have had them for over a year and i drive 100+ miles a day for work. bound to go out soon and im tired of memphis. want something different

Those MOJO's are 1500 RMS daily and that's probably conservitive.The problem was clipping.To much heat was generated that the woofer couldn't disapate.That is why the coils are crispy.I push almost 2k a piece daily to my DR's and there only rated at 1000 rms.
