mods for a 93 blazer

ok i just got back for racing my friend tonight and i lost i have a 93 blazer 4.3l vortec and he has a dodge dakota older model it also has a 4.3 and does any one know why i lost i think it is weight well im 15 and dont know to much about racing and i had it in over drive could that be it?? well any one know of any good performance mods for it ???

Is yours an automatic? Gotta be in drive with older model Blazers there chief Keep accelerating, your RPM's will rise, flip into OD, RPM's drop, floor it some more Or, stay in drive

Performance chip, headers/exhaust, supercharger, engine swap(350 5.7L), PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer, AirAid Intake, K&N Air Filter.

Etc.

That's what i do. Start off in drive (seems to be a little more torquey), then when the RPM's get too high i put it into OD. By the way, did dodge make a 4.3? I thought they had the 3.8.
