Moded Mmats amps?

Has anyone gotten there mmats amp moded? I talked to David Thompson from mmats he said that he could mod my d2000.05 i would gain an aditional 400 watts. If moded though there going to have to take out the protection circuit meaning if theres any dead short the amp will fail.

Yup, alot of the old ones, d300 d200 etc you could get modded

because lots of ppl are stupid and will blow the modded amp on bad electrical/ bad wiring

Maybe because the amps will come without there protection circuit? Lol.

Btw, How do you prevent a dead short from happening?

I have heard of them but when I got ahold of them to get mine modded they said that they only modded them when they left their shop

dont wire it waaaaay to low, and dont touch the neg. and pos. wires together

Don't wire it way to low? You mean as in dont bring the amp to low on ohms like 1 ohm? My amp is a mmats d2000.05 wich will run @ .5 ohms stable all day. Would I be rising a dead short @ this ohm load?

I also have a d2000.2 that runs @ 2ohms would i be better getting that one mod?

a dead short would be 0.0ohms . it would be like taking a car battery and wiring the hot and negative together...instant aRC WELDER
