mod a 1606d?

my friend and i recently did a nice install of 4 12" Ma Audio woofs, and ran a good amount of Lightning audio 1/0 guage(more like 2-3/0) it was much bigger and had a good deal more strands than Knu's 1/0 he bought for the big 3.

ok, to the point, when wiring the amp up with the 4700strand "1/0" ga wire we had to chop about 2/3 of it off in order to get it to fit into the terminal of his Hifonics BXI1606d. what would anyone suggest to do in this situation? mod it so its a direct connection to the power wire in the amp maybe? or just find a 2/0 copper bullet connect to fit in the amp( i dont think they exist.)

also we're having some problems with the subs. He has 4, dvc4ohm woofs ran down to 2ohms as in the rockford diagram http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=4&woofer_imp=4

but the 4th woofer in parallel exerts much farther than the other 3, but im very confused...wattage should equally distribute itself, but it seems that it hasnt..hmm anyone with help?

I'd look for a loose connection in the sub wiring somewhere and make sure polarity is correct on all the subs. You might even test each sub with a small Duracell battery to make sure that the company properly labeled each terminal... I've seen mis labeled terminals before

thanks for the input. were still having this problem, where going to pull the box and check all the subs wiring, and go from there..how do you go about checking ea sub w/ a duracell? attach it to a + and - from ea coil and it should exert right?

any other ideas?

yup... just hook up the battery + and - to each speaker terminal and the speaker will either move in or out. Make sure all coils are moving the same way. You can hook it up to the whole set of speakers too

if we have all the coils wired up correctly what ohm load should it read on the terminal cup if its wired to 2ohms, like 2.3 or something right?
