I didnt like it either...but then i saw it in person. The seats are red...I really hope the seats aren't really that shade of pink, lol. Not really digging the color scheme but that's more of a personal preference. Love the bike though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
?? I spent 8300 ish out the door for the bike, thats with 6 percent sales tax and plated and registered. How is that spending too much? I got a nice *** arai helmet, jacket, and gloves with the bike for 9k out the door. The seats actually set the bike off IMOYou spent 9k on that.....wow.....
I'd have done 8k MAX. It's not even the '10 one. That should have been at least $1k cheaper.
When I bought my '07 gixxer brand new in '07 I gave them $7k. And bike prices haven't really gone up since then.
I guess you did buy it at the beginning of the riding season, though. But still.
And definately need to getrid of the license plate cluster, flush the signals, and I'd get the seats re-apolstered in black.
If you dig it then that's all that matters. I don't really care for white bikes personally, but I mean it doesn't matter what I think cuz it's not my bike. I see some bikes out there that I look at the paint scheme and am just like "wtf?" but hey, if it makes the owner happy, who cares?I didnt like it either...but then i saw it in person. Yeah, rode it home actually...about a 100 mile trip. It was beautiful yesterday. I thought the same thing about the white actually...it looks so much better in person. If you dig it then that's all that matters. So have you ridden it yet? It's been pretty cold down here in Toledo (except for yesterday of course) so I'd have to imagine it's been even colder up there...
thank you sir. Yeah, the red seats really set the bike off, with black seats i think it would look bland. It grows on you. I plan on changing the oil tomorrow actually, just put about 100 miles on her yesterday. And yes, my first real bike. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifThat's much better. I thought you meant 9k just for the bike. That's not a bad price then. Well done.
And I'd like to see those red seats in person. They just seem a bit funky in the photos.
Make sure you change that oil pretty soon. Theres still going to be a few machining shards in the block that you'll want to get out of there.
Your first bike?
You have previous riding experience? You know what they say, "There's 2 kinds of riders, those who have laid a bike down, and those who are going to lay a bike down". Would **** if you laid that baby down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gifYeah, rode it home actually...about a 100 mile trip. Oh yeah, people say, oh just a 600. hah, theyve never ridden one if they say that. And full coverage ftwYeah....."It's just a 600." Just don't ever think that and be easy with that throttle. It'll still loop or spin out and lowside if you don't know what you're doing.
And make sure you've got full insurance.
