Mmats pro series or JL w3v2

Well I have a chance to get a good deal on both of these

he thing is the mmats looks to be an older model

but its 3 12's in a sealed box for 250

or I could do the W3's for 240 in a selaed box

I dont know which to go with

Opinions: mmats pro cast or W3

3 12's d4 powered by ? a mono amp will be .67 oms, so a mono amp cant handle this?

So i gotta go stereo at a 1.33 ohm load?

I had two 12W3v2's in a ported box, powered by a 500/1. 144.3db's at the dash. Shyt was pretty **** loud for the power. Oh yeah, and sounded clean as hell too.

Never heard the mmatts so I can't tell you there. IDQ's wouldn't be a bad choice either.

When it comes to SPL competition, yeah you can say that. I've had systems in every car I've had but never competed. I've competed in one SPL competition ever, and that's where I hit the mark. It was a mic surrounded by chrome bracket, I didn't know that they used different mics or that it could affect the DB level much.

If it helps, it was an IASCA competition, I was in an amatuer class that limited competitors to under 900W RMS, which is what the guy that beat me for first place had. He had a 900W amp on two 15's and hit .3 of a db more than me, leaving me in 2nd place. I was pretty happy any ways that I only got beat out by such a small margin by bigger subs and more power.

But I digress. Like I said, two 12W3v2's got pretty dam loud on moderate juice in my S-10 blazer.
