Just recently did this for a customer. He sent me a Mmats Jugernaut motor to build into a 15" sub for him.
First thing was to add a few basket spacers. I just like the way these look under this style of basket.
Bolted the basket to the motor with some 1/4-20 bolts.
This basket has a 7.5" spider landing which just wont cut it IMO. We added our 7.5" to 8" spider adapter to increase the landing size.
Here is is all bolted up...
Here are the main ingredients of this one. It's a 4 layer flatwound aluminum coil, 1.7" in length with a Dual 2 ohm rating. The spiders were a triple stack of our 8" progressive spiders with sewn leadwire.
I added a reinforcement glue joint to the back of the spider to make the joint a little more durable under high excursion, when the parts see a lot of stress in this area.
