You will never hear the difference between 3500 and 4000. That being said, build quality and reliability may sway you towards the Mmats.

I used a Stetsom 4K2D for a while. Made rated power in a really small package. I hear the Stetsom amps can be time bombs, but I had really good luck with the ones I've owned.

the 3500.1 is rated at 2700 rms music and 3500 sine wave. the 4k is 5000 rms. i think there will be a difference

Why is their 3500 over rated and the 4000 under rated? I had always thought they were pretty honest with the numbers on those.

Anyway, yeah, you'll hear the difference between 2700 and 5K
