Just looking at it, it may be an alternative, but IDK if I'd go for it.. It's only .33lbs/ft^2.. For good transmission loss you want at least .5lbs/foot to get the resonant frequency down low enough. Here is actual MLV that is cheaper per square foot than the product you linked is.. It's .75lbs/ft^2..
