MK3 or MK4 jetta?

I am thinking about getting a Jetta. I definately want the 2.8 Vr6 but I am undecided whether I want a Mk3 98 or 99, or I want a 99-01 Mk4. anyone have any opinons? Id get black either way.

The 95 Jetta was a beautiful car when it came out. Have never been a fan of the MK4. But having only owned a MK5 for 4 months probably the wrong person to ask. Also with the MK4 you have the option of the 1.8T with 180HP vs the MK3 2.8VR6 with 172hp???. Smaller motor with better gas mileage FTW if you like that body style.

Get the mark 4. They just look a lot nicer. I have a Mk3 and my Dads gf has a MK4 and hers just seems so much nicer. Well maybe because it is nicer....
