mixing brands

Very few companies make every component in a system. The ones that do don't make everything GOOD or even acceptable quality. Fact is, MOST reputable companies make one or two GREAT products. Hard part is to find and choose the right product from the right mfg.

Me, for instance, I like Pioneer products alot. I love the PRS amps because they're under rated and sound great and were a great "value". However, I don't think they make a great comp set. (prs comps the exception) Atleast not in this market. Pioneer Japan makes some great speakers. In my opinion the "perfect" system would be one of ALL different brands of every component. That is assuming a "fantastic" is applied.
