Mixing 5.25 and 6.5 comps in same door?

Hi, I am about to buy a second set of alpine type r comps, the problem is that mine are 5.25'', while the ones i am about to buy are 6.5. I will glass my doors and seal off both mids, would it sound too horrible, or would it be tolerable?

Anyone on here have experience with this type of installs (2 different sized full range woofers per door)?

If you use the 6 1/2 for midbass duty then it'd be fine.

Well, the other pair is really cheap! Times are tough... So, an additional LPF for the 6 1/2 at like 200-500 hz would seem fine, maybe I can do that.

I hope you mean a HPF at 200-500 because a LPF might cause them to go into ARRGH mode and blow up, but even then it would be set high for any kind of decent 6.5" mids.
