i bought a box with 2 type r's in it which my friend that i bought it from told me that they were 2 four ohms speakers and that 1 of them was blown. so i went out and bought another 4 ohm speaker. i threw it in and it sounded ok, but when i go to rewire it from what i thought was 4 ohm to 1 ohm i realize that it sais 2ohm + 2 ohm on the one that came with the box. so my question is should what ohm do think i was at one 2 ohm speaker and one 4 ohm speaker also is safe to continue to run this

well from what I have read, if they are different ohm loads then they will be seeing different powers and hitting different because the power differences and if they ar also in the same chamber I should see it damaging them because they are supposed to have the same power then, and if u had different power to them in seperate chambers I would imagine that it would sound pretty bad....iono just my thoughts, Im no expert on it like alot of other people are here, just trying to offer some help, maybe somebody else can help you more accurately

im not sure if its safe to run this for the most a month till i buy another one, what would u go for 2 or 4 ohm. i have a hifonics 1600d amp, 1600 at 1 ohm, 1100 at 2 ohms, and 550 at 4 ohms
