See i think i understand where your having the misunderstanding...This is what I don't understand.
I can see how some people perceive "being white" means working hard and successful and not participating in the black community.What I want to know is why "acting white" is a negative thing.
As for toaster's comment, the blacks I met in college want to be successful, I don't think they go to learn how to "better act white".
Well in the case where i've used it, or had it used on me... wasn't to describe "success" or anything necessarily positive. It was more mockery then that.
It might be a person can't dance.... dance like a white person. It was never, going to get a job.... trynna provide for the faimly like a white person.
