i had won this sub in an auction a while back. the sub is in mint condition physically but the cone is stiff. the sub was supposed to be brand new but when i got it, it was like this. the seller wouldnt refund my money and paypal wouldnt do anything. so i lost some money, and the sub has been sitting in its original box. i think it just need a recone. everything on the sub is mint besides the cone being stiff. im looking to get $65 shipped since shipping is about $20-$25. i can post pics if needed.

well, how do you know its frozen, if you cant check the coils? see if someone can lend you one. Each coil, when good should read about 3.2-3.6 ohms each. It may just be stiff due to being new? anyway. I was hoping to jump on it if it was just a noob error, but a coil reading would confirm one way or the other. Btw, jl charges about 300 for a recone, and thats about what they go for working. give or take. being a 12, it may be easier to find a generic recone kit that may work with it, but its hard finding them.
