Midbasses that go down to ~20Hz...

I'm looking to ditch my subs and just have speakers all around...here's what I want:

1 full range 6.5" comp set in front, with a range of like 40-20Khz

1 pair of 6.5" midbasses in the rear door w/a range of like 30-???

1 pair of 6.5" or 6x9" free-air subs in the rear deck w/a reasonably "flat" range of ~20-100Hz.

What kind of speakers should I get? I'm not really crazy about spending $1K on speakers in a '93 Accord...I was thinking along the lines of stuff from Parts Express. My goal is decent SQ and non-directional seamless bass at all points in the car. I'm leaning towards getting 2 MA Audio tweeters, 4 Goldwood 6.5" midbasses, and those Tang 6.5/6x9 subs in the rear deck. Imaging isn't really much of a concern...I just want good efficiency, good, flat response from 20-100Hz and all around good sound. Help me out.

You do realize that your ears cannot tell which direction bass is coming from? Thats why the subwoofer is just one unit behind the couch or something in surround sound or in the trunk.

depends on the enclosure you put the midbass in to the response you get

I'm going free-air with everything. Stock locations pretty much; either in the doors or in the rear deck. I thought about getting a sub ported into the trunk, which I might still do...but eh, I hate the weight. And as far as bass directionality, maybe my subs are out of phase with my insides, but it's very clear to me that the bass is coming from the trunk. I prob. need to fix my x-overs...but whatever...

I just remember in my Maxima w/the Bose system how the bass was actually even from the front to back; i.e., if I just had the fronts playing I still had crazy low-end response. That's all I want from the next setup.
