Midbass drivers under seats?

So i have some spare MDF laying around, a decent rockford 2 channel amp, and some logitech 8" subs im not using (from computer setups) Now i dont know too much about the whole midbass driver scene other than what ive looked at from builds like people having the 8" drivers in their door and whatnot. Im looking to learn a little more about this, however putting drivers in my door isnt an option. To the people with setups like these, do you have the drivers crossed over so they respond to say like 80-200hz or so frequencies? Ive thought about it and that seems like a decent idea to help fill in where my 5 1/4s lack. I can build boxes to fit under my passenger and driver seats to house the subs, but im not sure how it would sound being under the seat, although i bet itd feel good to my ballsack, but thats not what im striving for. This is really gonna be an experimental build more than anything, and im thinking im going in the right direction but im not sure. Ive seen alot of old schoolers running things similar to this in old SQ setups though. Whats you guys take on this?

I would probably cross them a bit higher - 120hz to 500hz - to keep them from conflicting as much with the sub. And then also cross the comps in the doors higher, for a full three way front setup + sub.
