is anyone very familiar with the michigan gun laws out there that can help me with so info. i wanted to know how the law works as far as me pulling out a gun or even using a gun on my property. ex, my neighbor who is a thug a$$ teenager, he comes over to my how with some friends and tries to slash my tires or key my car. what can i legally do with that gun and what cant i do with it. and lets say they do have a baseball bat and then if they dont have a baseball bat.

I would think most courts would side with you if you felt an imminent danger to your or your family's life...discharging a firearm because he keyed your car probably wouldn't hold up, but firing at him if he had a knife would.

I don`t know bout shooting the gun off in the air,you might catch some bs on that cuz it`s not like the bullet is just goin to disappeare in to thin air.If they come to your property and you have the gun,.ust tell them that they have to leave the premises right now and if they don`t **** that bi**h back and say you have 3 seconds to get off of my property,but if they come at you,thats when i`de rack one or 30 off.

Glad I Don't like in detroit. As for shooting it in the air... that's a no no. My uncle shot his neighbor's pitbull when it came in his yard in flint and didn't get in any trouble.

You can just start popping off rounds in city limits... at least not here. Not really much ya can I do. I'd just put up some camera at night when he doesnt see and bust his ***. Asian kid I know is going to jail for unloading an ak out his window. He was shooting some punk *** black guy that was of course breaking into his car.

im north of detroit by a few miles. in my neigborhood there is only a couple black famlies, if any at all. the kid that im worried about lives 2 houses down from me. he is about 18 to 20 and he is a ghetto thug white boy. what happened was... my girlfriend, dog and i were rollerblading last night. we were on the side of the street in the sub and this kid turned a corner, we were right next to a stop sign and clearly visible to him. he raced to the stop sign and forced us off the road and onto the grass and i saw a car with 3 of his friends and him smiling and laughing. so when i got home from work, i saw his car in the driveway. i stood on the porch for about a min. and sure enough... f**k head walks out to his car. i walked across the neighbors yard and looked at him and said "you motherf**ker" and tolk him that i would kick his *** if he ever did that again. this is the second time he did that too. the first time he was coming head on and was looking down "counting his money," as he said. that was about a year ago. i do belive that the first time was an accident, but the second time was not. i have 2 9mm's and a 12 gauge street sweaper. i dont think this idiot will do a **** thang, but i just wanted to know my legal right and i always think about the worst case sinerio.

firing a gun off wouldn't be a good idea imo. he'll just come back with a gun and you'll have an old fashioned shoot out. when i lived down there i just ignored everybody and never got messed with.
