This is the statement I was referring to:

You're making a statement there. And it's a generalization.

It seems like you're implying that hunting for sport isn't as bad as dog fighting with this statement. And do you agree with hunting for sport?
The 'generalization'. So, you think pro athlete's work effort they put into their career justifies the millions of dollars they make as compared to the work effort the rest of us put into ours to make our $50k a year, $100k a year, etc? Pro athletes dont make the money they do because they've worked that much harder than us, they make it because they worked hard, and just happen to be naturally gifted, at a talent that our society rewards with fame and fortune.

As for the sport hunting, I did say hunting for sport is a far cry from brutalizing animals, systematically, over long periods of time. But that's certainly not saying I agree with hunting for sport. I guess if I was to say **** is not as heinous as murder, you'd assume I agree with raping someone. You even went so far as to add the 'hunting dogs for sport' part because you appear, like misfit, to think I hold dogs to a higher standard than other animals, which I also never said. If you must alter what Ive said to make it appear more extreme, maybe that should be a sign your argument against what I actually have said is too weak to stand on its own merits. So I'll turn the tables and ask you, do you feel that hunting for sport, as in shooting and killing a deer just to take its antlers, is just as immoral as beating, torturing, starving dogs over their entire lifetime?

This question is so broad, that's why I consider it a generalization. There's a lot of different professions out there. You think some dude sitting at a computer desk all day making 50k a year works as hard as an NFL player? There's a lot of problems with your argument. And NFL players get the money they do because they're in a business and organization that generates a lot of revenue not just because they play football. Arena Football players aren't making millions, a lot of them have second jobs, neither are all those "other" football leagues. You think it's just a coincidence that the athletes that make the most money are the ones that work the hardest? They're not all just "naturally gifted". They work hard as hell to get as good as they are. Look at Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Peyton Manning. They're not some physical phenoms but they work there ***** off to be as good as they are and get the money they do. It's very hard work being an athlete especially at the professional level. I think you're underestimating how hard a lot of them actually work.

And yes I think hunting animals for sport is just as stupid, idiotic, and immoral as killing dogs for no reason at all. Both are killing innocent animals for no reason what so ever. Both are completely unnecessary. But that's besides the point anyways. Back to my original question. Why should Vick's dog fighting stop him from playing in the NFL?

Work effort does not equal big bucks in the NFL. If it was work effort alone, a lot more white guys would be there. *oh snap, I did not just say that* Im fucking kidding, dont even start. But I do find it naive to say those players have earned that money due to working hard for it.

Of course you think shooting some deer in the head is equivalent to torturing a dog for months or years, I said something different. If you didnt have a counter argument, this wouldnt be the internet, and you wouldnt be you.

They basically dedicate their entire life to their jobs, how are they not working hard enough to deserve what they get? They're working on the field and off the field. Studying tape to get better, training, practicing, studying the plays, all the charity work they do, handling the media, actually playing on the field, and even more stuff. They dedicate more of their time to their jobs then a lot of other professions demand. I don't see why you think they're not earning there money. Or why you would think someone who sits at a desk 8 hours a day deserves more than them.

And you asked me about the hunting thing and I answered. They're both stupid and meaningless

The man did a crime and paid dearly, 2 years of his life and MILLIONS of $$$$$

WHAT MORE YOU WANT FROM HIM?

Im glad he can still earn a living, how many can once out of prision, we should be happy he aint on welfare.

My only problem with Vick is, he throws the ball to much to Jackson. LOL Maclin is on my fantasy team!
