Mexico legalizes drugs

drugs have been legal in mexico for a long time..
havent you ever been in a mexican pharmacy?!
I dont get out that way much.... but I have heard people talk about going to the doctors over there. and picking up prescriptions. Prescriptions are not the same as LSD and meth. If your implying that the pharmacies in Mexico sell LSD and meth then state so. I have no knowledge of their product base.

you just walk into a pharmacy and buy prescription drugs.

Pain killers (opiates like heroin)

ADD medication (amphetamines)

no prescriptions.... nice. I wouldnt do that even if I had the chance. With Califiornia breaking new barriers, you know, the leaglizing of weed and setting the prisoners free, the Sw states might as well join mexico.

i bought some valium last time i was in mexico. Sleeping the 12 hour flight to Korea ftw!! A lot cheaper than going to a real doctor in the US without insurance.

I am not against the pharmacy drugs if it is used correctly, I know alot of people that spend $200+ on medication they need. If they can save on something that is impairitive to their lifestyles and well being then I am cool with it.

Please note: Medications such as valium, oxycontin and tylenol with codeine DO require a doctor's prescription in Mexico.

Umm, this isn't legalization; this is decriminalization. There's a difference.

They should legalize it, however. Legalize it, companies will begin producing it, government can regulate and tax it, invest the tax revenue into drug education and rehabilitation, as well as other programs like health care, education, etc.

Decriminalization doesn't really help the problem. It still means people are getting unregulated drugs from potentially dangerous people. It just saves time and money prosecuting and convicting people and reinvests it into providing those people with rehabilitation.

Didn't require a prescription when I was down there, might need one coming back across the border through customs though...or just hide them in your prison pocket
