Meter?

Hey, my dad has a radio shack brand sound level meter and it only goes up to 130 i Borrowed itand put it on the dash in my car and cranked it a little and it easily went to 130 and i still had some of volume left. I dont Think My Car is really that loud, is it just because of a cheap meter or is it pretty easy to hit 130? I have a pair of 12" punch hx2's in a custom ported box. Whats the deal?, did i really hit 130 legitamately? dont hate on me for being stupid if i am, I have not metered alot of things
