Legendary rock photographer Ross Halfin has posted a number of new photos of METALLICA taken during the band's recent European tour, including this one very touching shot of Lars Ulrich kissing James Hetfield.
METALLICA's official web site is currently streaming no less than six full songs from the band's forthcoming "Death Magnetic" album. The tracks, which were all premiered Thursday night (September 4) during the broadcast special "Metallica: The World Premiere Of Death Magnetic", are as follows:

* "The Day That Never Comes"

* "My Apocalypse"

* "Cyanide"

* "All Nightmare Long"

* "Broken, Beat & Scarred"

* "The Judas Kiss"

Several copies of "Death Magnetic" were sold early at a Paris record store on Tuesday (September 2), which led to the entire album being leaked online within hours.

Due on September 12, "Death Magnetic" will also be available to download for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock the same day that the record is released.

Their gritty sound changed after the Black Album. Not as gritty, rough, and un-polished as their old stuff...which surprisingly drew me to them.

I didn't mind Load or Reload. I even almost liked I Disappear, but the older stuff was better, of course.

St. Anger is where I drew the line, I thought it was all over.

Most of them say they are 320, but are actually lesser quality. The real rip is 128 and all these higher bitrates are transcoded.

The one I got say's its 320, but sounds nowhere as good as my ACTUAL 320 albums.
