Merlin,Saz1500,or Xsite

I need advice in which amp to go with. I am lookin for a good reliable amp that I plan on keeping for awhile and my choices are the merlin md2d, saz1500, or xsite 2k.

I don't care about resale value cuz I plan on keeping it for awhile. My electrical consists of big 3 in 4awg and redtop up front, a single run of 4 awg to the back with an kinetik hc600 in the back. I will pushing 2 rd sonance 12's. They are v2 d4 so I will need power at 1 ohm. Thanks for any help.

Just loud, they are in a 3 cube box at 35 so im just lookin for loudness not really sound quality. But the reason is because I just sold my brutus because I didn't like having to boost the bass on my pioneer p3900 to get it loud. It only has 2.2 volt preouts but they have been enough in the past, but with the the brutus I had to boost the bass and thats why I didn't like it.

I would go Sundown.

Don't know much about xsite but they seem to be pretty good, and I know US Amps are pretty good as well, no first hand experience with either.

However, Sundown does have incredible customer service, and the resale value is quite good, and I imagine if you ever did need to sell it, you would with no problem.

I do suggest going with a larger gauge wire, though.

The single run of 4 AWG from the front of the vehicle to the back of the vehicle should be almost enough charge a 600HC and/or run a single 1,500 watt amplifier. I saw a local shop do this in 2008 with a Civic Si and a Memphis 16-MCD1500 because the kid couldn't find a decent HO alternator for his 2007 Si. They ran a 4 gauge wire from the front to the battery in the trunk, then wired the amp directly off the trunk battery.

Yeah when I had my brutus the voltage would only drop to like 12.8 before without batt it would drop to 11.8:crap: but will they all be about the same output?

I like the merlin but if the saz will put out more power then I want it. Plus the merlin is cheaper.

If you like the US Amps Merlin MD-2D (not to be confused with Merlon out of Houston) AND it is cheaper, then what is your issue with going that route? Even if the Sundown puts out more power, I highly doubt it would be an audible difference.

Granted, Sundown is not a bad product either. The only thing that prevents me from going with Sundown is all the pudknockers ON THIS VERY FORUM who start a strokefest every single time another member states that they are purchasing a Sundown. It seems that EVERYONE chimes in with "I am getting one" or "I have one" or "I want one too" and then proceeds to talk about how much of bargain it is/was for the price and how great the customer service is.

Well as long as us amps are good reliable power. I mean everyone says the build quality on the sundowns are better but idk.
