Memphis Sub Started Popping tonight?

Here is what I have...

Memphis 15-PR10D4v2 10in Sub

in a Atrend ported Box (1.25 cubic Feet)

Rockford Fosgate R500-1

It's all in a 2010 Dodge Charger if that matters

I've had this in for months now with Zero Issues. All of a sudden tonight on just one Song.. At just a few certain spots where the Bass hits. It POPs BAD...Never done this before tonight. Played that same song tons of time from the Same source. I didn't have time to do anymore then just get out and see it POP and shut it off. Had to head into work. I don't know much about this stuff.. Just some of the very basic stuff. What should I be looking at or checking first?

It took me a few days of adjusting the amp to get it from shutting off after 2min of playing. But after I adjusted my AMP better. It's been fine. It's been months since I've touched it. Other then my lights dimming when the bass hits at times. It's been very reliable. All I want it a reliable set up.

The Box isn't finished, just need to do some little details to look cleaner...But I'm not a master at this...First timer

Box not tuned for the frequency the subs trying to play. Too much power Subs bottoming out
Can this change over a certain time period? Say like 2-3 months....

I've played that same song over and over in the past with nothing changed.. For months. I'll get a picture of the Settings on the Amp in the morning and post them. But everything is already tuned to 1/4.. I believe....

Just found the spec's on the Tuning Frequency of the Box 42Hz..

Do I just turn the Gain Down or adjust the Frequency to match the Box? Little confused here..

Thanks for the help.

It can after the subs suspension breaks in.
Thanks, I thought that might be possible.. I turned down my Gain, but I'm not sure which direction the Freq. needs to go. Here is a picture of where its set at now. Sorry if the picture is HUGE, but I didn't want to shrink it. Incase it couldn't be read..

Gain needs to be set with a multi meter low pass at 80 hertz. Phase on 0 no bass boost
Is this a good way to use the multimeter?

How to Adjust Amplifier Gains Using a Digital Multi-Meter - Knowledge Base

I went ahead and put the low pass at 80Hz and the Phase on 0. Doesn't hit near as hard as it did...I have only had two systems one in a hardtop Wrangler. One 12in in a Custom box and the other was in a small hatchback. two 12's in a bandpass...Maybe I'm expecting to much from one 10in Sub in a Trunk.
