This is an review on the Memphis Power Reference sub. The 12 DVC model. Before this I had an V-Tech hammer in an V-Tech box. I blew that one and was looking for an sub to hold me over until I get my SPL setup started. So I wanted to try something new. so I went got this it was the 2002 model and it was $99.95. I called Memphsi to see if it was ok to but in the V-Tech box.(For u poeple out that do not know what I mean when I say V-Tech box. It is an 3 Cubic ft box that is ported at 40 hz i had the single 12 version.) The sub can get loud. But the guy do not but in that SPL type box. ANd he was right I have an crossfire 140 watt amp that is bridged and the sub is wired down to 2 ohms. IT puts out about 250 watts max but that box is ripping it a part. I cracked the dust cap.

But i would reccommend these if u are just starting off in car audio.
