Memphis Power Bass Series?

Hi,

I just picked up an amp.. Its a Memphis PB1KD and was wondering if anyone has ever owned one of these or had any experience with it. My main question is if its safe to run it at 1 ohm..I know memphis is a really good brand for subs and amps..but I really don't want to hurt it. From what I know it does 300X1 at 4 ohm, 600X1 at 2 ohm and 1000X1 at 1 ohm.. its about 2 years old. Any info would be gladly appreciated. Thanks!

if it's memphis and it's rated for 1 ohm...it's safe to run at 1 ohm!

one a very short list, memphis amps will always be near the top...have no fear, ur amp will be fine..

i used to run an st1000d...rated exactly the same as ur pb.....pushed it 1 ohm all day long..almost eveyday..never got more then warm....i love that thing!! hell, i'm loving my pr 140...i did have it running my highs..now all seventy watts are pushing a 10" memphis sub...

all in all, it's hard to beat memphis power, quality and packaging!

yeah it says on the amp itself that it can't be wired under 1 ohm. so I knew it would go 1 ohm just didn't know if it would handle it very long. I have always heard good things about memphis, never heard anything bad.. Thanks man

Memphis IMO is one of the best mainstream brands //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i'm not 100% on ym setup just yet so maybe ill go back to them we'll jsut have to see.

i has the 16-MC1000D running @ 1 ohm and it rocks. no complaints
