memphis or planet audio...?

OK my freind just came in second place in a competition. He has 2 Planet audio 12's on a Memphis 1600. I've never heard of either of these brands and I've never seen anyone talk about them either...? Anyone have any imput or did I just waist more space on this board?

They are both good brands, although I'd rate Memphis higher up on the quality scale than PA.

I have two 15's and the Memphis Belle and it is the best set-up I have had. I hit 147.8 db with it

Memphis=great products

Planet Audio=my local store carries them and I thought they were just another bs brand. I went into the "bass room" after my friend (the owner) insisted that I hear them. He had 1 PA 15 hooked up to a JL 500/1. I have to say, I was impressed. It sounded pretty darn good, even in a 10' x 12' room.

well i have a planet audio 1200d and 300/4, and i just took second this weekend in comp. 140db at the windshield and 155.4 in outlaw.....i am so stoked......

as with anything ther is highend and low end, i bought high end amps, not low end crap
