Memphis is a great company, their amps have been outstanding since I started toying with car audio! Their woofers are starting to come along nicely too!

Unfortunatly Memphis woofers are pretty expensive. The LVS is 900+ IIRC.

memphis certainely does make great products, I had a 12" SHP and I was blowing people away with it, I'd bump it for people getting into car audio and ask them "how many subs you think I got back there" I'd get replies like "man you gotta have at least 4 12's back there!" But yeah if their prices were more reasonable I'd be a dedicated memphis fan

Actually that mad max woofer is a Quad 1, I dont know why they would do that. Thats a dumb move on their part.

I love memphis amps and will continue to use them whenever possible.

Last I knew they were illegal in comps, thats why the few manufactures that did make them stopped. If they want to be able to acheive a 4 ohm load they would be smarter and make it dual 2. 95% of the class D's out there make their power @1ohm. Big class A/b's , make their power @4ohm.

That is exacty why DbDon made his Inhumans with quad 1ohms, so you can run 4 amps to one sub.(I asked him personnally)

i don't know how a 4k rms, 8k peak woofer would do w/ 16k...

It could make it through a burp. Ive seen some of the RF guys burp those Power hx2 subs with 10k+ and they were rated for 2000watts.

Now they got those Team RF woofers and they can take obscene power.

This is all also if the woofer is really a true 4000w rms woofer, Memphis likes to exagerated their woofer specs a tad bit... Just look through some

Mostly on the 2 higher end subs were the specs exagerated.
